Search Behavior Basics [EM 22.1 UG]

EditMate currently requires users to enter the exact term in a metadata entry or employ the use of the asterisk ""* wildcard. In the example below, entering "Bertels" will deliver no results, even if a video with the title "Bertelsmann" exists in the media repository.

By entering "Bertels"* with the wildcard asterisk, users are able to add a variable of multiple characters beyond the "s" character in "Bertels". This will effectively include the *"Bertelsmann" video as a result.

The same concept can be applied if the ""* is applied in the beginning of the entered search term. It also applies for multiple characters as shown in the next image. Entering *"elsmann" will still deliver the desired result.
