Release 21.3

Features

Create Events

MediaLogger's central role is to create and edit timecode based metadata. This implies that users can easily create events on a certain timecode position and enter metadata information for every event. See Create events [ML 21.3 UG] .

Event List

All events are represented in an event list. The event list offers an overview of all events and allows one to easily navigate through the list or select single events for editing. The available metadata fields for the events can be configured in ConfigPortal.

Multiple Event Lists

Each media asset can potentially have multiple event lists configured, e.g. one event list retrieved from a speech to text service and another event list used for content-related descriptions. Each event list has its own configuration specifying which metadata fields are shown. See Eventlist View [VE 21.3 UG] .

Video and Audio Playback

MediaLogger supports the playback and editing timecode based metadata for video and audio assets on a proxy file. The supported media formats are configured in ConfigPortal. MediaLogger supports diverse player functions such as fullscreen, speed selection and others. See Player [ML 21.3 UG] .

Keyboard Control

MediaLogger is designed for a fast logging process which is why keyboard control is fully supported. All functions such as creating new events, navigation in the player are available via hotkeys. Even in edit mode, the hotkeys are still available by combining them with ALT. An overview of all hotkeys is available from the main menu. For more information, please see Keyboard Shortcuts [ML 21.3 UG] .

Export Event Lists as CSV

Sometimes the event data needs to be transferred to another person or application. MediaLogger comes with an export function to easily create a CSV-file containing all events and metadata of an event list. For more information, please see Export event data as CSV-file [ML 21.3 UG] .

Keyframe Timeline

For an easy overview and a fast navigation, all available keyframes of a video asset are shown as keyframe timeline below the video player. For more information, please see MediaLogger Areas [ML 21.3 UG] .
