VidiEditor allows one to export timelines as Final Cut Pro 7 XML that can be used for basic handover to 3rd party systems (e.g.: Adobe Premiere).

If the Final Cut Pro XML use case is configured to your VidiEditor installation, the publish button will be displayed as a split button, allowing to use the publish option as described in Publishing a Timeline Sequence [VE 21.4 UG] , or to export the timeline as Final Cut Pro 7 XML while clicking the arrow part of the publish button:

Depending on the configuration described in the respective pages, the user will be able to choose from different kind of presets that are set up for generating the Final Cut Pro XML and can enter a title that is added to the file name of the exported XML.

Final Cut Pro 7 XML Export [VE 21.4 OG] (VidiNet version)

Final Cut Pro 7 XML Export (Enterprise) [VE 21.4 OG] (Enterprise version)

After entering the title and the preset the XML file will be provided as download with a file name based on the entered title and the selected preset name.

As VidiEditor uses VidiCore to transform a sequence into a Final Cut Pro XML it is worth mentioning that not all options of the VidiEditor timeline are supported to be transformed into a Final Cut Pro 7 XML. For a detailed listing of supported functionalities please see VidiCore Sequences Export of the VidiCore version used in your installation and the VidiEditor setup guide Final Cut Pro 7 XML Export (Enterprise) [VE 21.4 OG] and Final Cut Pro 7 XML Export [VE 21.4 OG].
