When deciding which roles to assign to the intended group, users will do this by selecting the desired roles from the Roles Table as shown below.

The Roles table is divided into three different columns.

  • Scope: indicates to which product the role is attributed to.
  • Role: is the title of the role.
  • Description: describes the breadth and functional capacity the role encompasses.

It is important to note, that while ConfigPortal's Rights Management Page includes a table of available roles for products, it also contains roles which are specific to ConfigPortal. These ConfigPortal roles are what allow configuration settings to be edited, added and/or removed. As such, system administrators are urged to exercise additional caution when assigning ConfigPortal roles.
