Due to the Publish Use Case being redesigned, MediaPortal 21.3 version requires also ConfigPortal 21.3.

Features

Collection Details

A second option to view a collection and it’s details is now available. This option offers an overview of the related metadata, housekeeping, access, reference and processes pertaining to the collection. Audio Channel Selection

Users are now able to select which audio channels they want to hear in the player. MediaPortal supports up to 16 audio channels in media. For more information, please view Preview Panel [MP 21.3 UG] | Audio-Channel-Selection .

Please note that this feature requires VidiStream 21.3.

Audio Waveform Preview for Videos in the Player

MediaPortal users can now benefit from a waveform preview of the audio channels of the proxy videos which are directly visualized in the player. For more information, please view Preview Panel [MP 21.3 UG] | Audio-Waveform-Preview-for-Videos-in-Player .

Image Grabber

By granting the Image Grabber Role to a group, the player’s Image Grabber function is enable. Clicking on the button will trigger a configurable workflow in VidiFlow. This hands over the TC position of the video viewed in the player and and is utilized to create a HiRes image of that frame.

Upload with Format Detection

MediaPortal now detects differed media file formats after dragging and dropping them into the Upload dialog. Please note, that the metadata is displayed or which VidiFlow Workflow is triggered for the corresponding format is not configurable.

Auto Truncate Search

Users can now significantly broaden their search results via stemming. This allows for more potentially relevant search results that match the entered characters. You can implicitly auto-truncate every search term, which is inserted to the text search. This will automatically add an * to the end but not display it on the search, so the normal user will not recognize it. Keep in mind, that this has an effect on the search results, which might be wider than anticipated by the user.

This behavior can be toggled on or off in ConfigPortal.

Extended Search

The Extended Search can now be combined with the Event Search on Video and Audio with Filter, Extended / Advanced Search. How do I search for something? [MP 21.3 UG]
